With seven cottages that cater to the needs of honeymooners and families, Premier Carriage House Cottages provides a place for people to "reconnect."

Owner Tatiana Wilkins said she hears that word all the time when people leave notes in the guest books in all the cottages.

"We try to make memories," Wilkins said.

All the amenities available at the cottages make it easy for that too. For the romantic getaways, Premier Carriage House Cottages is a one-stop shop. Wilkins will work with customers so their experience is unique and tailored to their wishes. Customers can buy in-house massages, fresh flowers, decadent chocolates, fine wine and cheeses during their stay.

Each cottage comes with Jacuzzis, heart-shaped tea lights, bath salts and bubble bath.
Wilkins recalled that one particular customer wanted to make the evening stand out for his bride, so he arranged to have the tea lights floating in the heated swimming pool that Wilkins' husband designed.

"We really go above and beyond," Wilkins said.

The romantic element isn't the only perk of the cottages either. All the cabins are cleaned to look immaculate. Wilkins said it takes about three months to fully train her cleaning staff.

Only a short distance from downtown Berlin, the cottages are far enough away from the main roads to quiet the bustle of other tourists, but close enough to get there without hassle. The cottages offer guests a great view of the surrounding hillsides, situated between farmland and other peaceful establishments.

Also, all of the mattresses on the beds are handcrafted by an Amish company from Apple Creek. Their supreme comfort brings repeat customers to Premier Cottage House Cabins all the time.

"You can't buy memory foam like that," Wilkins said. "I have people telling me all the time that they come for such a good night's sleep."

Wilkins joked about how she should start selling bed sheets on the side because she's had such good luck with the ones she bought for the cabins. No matter the cost of renting the cabins, each has the same kind of high-quality mattress and sheets with a 500-or greater thread count.

In The Waterford Cottage, the latest addition to the cottages, the all-tile walk-in shower pumps three gallons of water per minute from an overhead spout, an adjustable sprayer and wall spouts.

Just outside the large bathroom, the Jacuzzi faces a unique fireplace that has water running down its sides and forming a pool around the base of the structure. Warmth from the fire and the soothing sound of running water provide supreme relaxation.

Each cabin has a distinctive decorative style and are all equipped with grills and back porches or balconies and stocked with cocoas, teas, coffee and sparkling ciders.

The cabins accommodate different group sizes, but no more than six guests can stay in any cabin at one of the family-size cabins at one time. Wilkins has rented all the cabins to wedding parties several times.

All the cabins are non-smoking, come with CD and DVD players and full kitchens.

Guests will have to wait to swim in the heated pool until late May, but Premier Carriage House Cottages offers specials all throughout February. Monday through Thursday, customers will receive almost $100 off the regular rate of select cottages. Weekends also bring additional discounts.
