Dutch Valley Furniture

"Color is definitely back," declared Miriam Beachy, manager of Dutch Valley Furniture.

"It's exciting! Golds and reds are 'hot' right now," she explained. "The Tuscan look is really in. Blues and browns are coming on strong and yellow is coming. We specialize in color here at Dutch Valley Furniture, and we really enjoy working with our customers so they can experience color in their homes.'

If your home needs a little boost of color to liven it up, pay a visit soon to this six-year-old furniture store. Located in a large complex just a mile east of Sugarcreek -- other establishments include Dutch Valley Gifts, Dutch Creek Foods, Carlisle Inn and Dutch Valley Restaurant -- Dutch Valley Furniture carries a complete line of beautiful furniture.

"We offer upholstered couches, love seats, chairs and ottomans," Miriam said.

"We also have tables and chairs for dining rooms and kitchens, as well as hutches and sideboards. The trend is going toward painted furniture right now, and we offer a nice selection of painted tables, chairs and accompanying pieces. These painted pieces (many are distressed), offer a nice change, and here, once again, colors are becoming very popular."

Also available are bedroom suites, entertainment centers and computer desks. Many occasional pieces can be found, as well.

"Most of our furniture is locally made," Miriam said. "And we now have our own line of furniture made by a local craftsman who works exclusively for us.

"Here at Dutch Valley, we have a lot of accessories to go with all our furniture selections," Miriam continued. "We offer lamps and pottery -- pottery is a very big business right now. We carry a big line of window treatments, and they're quite popular because our customers can get custom treatments without the custom price. They can pick the features they want."

On staff are two floral designers. This is evident, as you will notice when visiting Dutch Valley, as the floral arrangements are gorgeous.

"We use the arrangements to accent our furniture and also help our customers get an idea of what they can do in their own homes," Miriam said.

Area rugs and other textile accents are also available at Dutch Valley, as is a nice selection of artwork.

"We have one interior designer on staff here," Miriam said, "and we work with several others. This allows our customers to have expert help. We'll even go to a customer's home to assess their situation and take measurements. We want everything to be just right."

Dutch Valley can ship items all over the country. Also, if there's ever a problem with any of their furniture, Miriam assured me the problem "will be resolved."

When you visit Dutch Valley Furniture, be sure to reserve about half a day, as you'll want to visit all the other businesses in the complex. You could actually eat a little, shop a little, sleep a little ... and shop a little more!

Be sure to come to Dutch Valley Furniture for your furniture needs. And don't be afraid to add a little color to your home.
