October brings exciting events to downtown Millersburg

October 2nd

Historic Downtown Millersburg is thrilled to announce Millersburg's first Beer Tasting event, to be held on the third floor of the Bags Sports Pub building in downtown Millersburg from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Great Lakes Brewing Company will be on site, offering six of their unique beers for sampling, each paired with complimentary food to enhance the tasting experience.

Hors d'oeuvres will be served and a cash bar available, featuring not only Great Lakes brews but an assortment of other beers, wines, and spirits as well.

Soft drinks will be available free of charge for designated drivers.

Advanced tickets are $30 per person or $50 per couple, and may be purchased by contacting Historic Downtown Millersburg at 330.674.3955 or via e-mail hdmillersburg@yahoo.com.

Tickets purchased at the door will be $35 each or $60 per couple. A limited number of tickets are available and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Proceeds will benefit Historic Downtown Millersburg.

October 9th and 10th

The Holmes County Antique Festival is a yearly fall festival which takes place in Historic Downtown Millersburg, Ohio. Enjoy two days of markets, arts and crafts, and demonstrations on the Square.

Join us for the 5K race on Saturday at 9 a.m. near the Courthouse.

Enjoy the antique and classic car parade and show at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. On Sunday, enjoy the Grand Parade at 2 p.m.

Both days, walk through the historic village, enjoy the continuous entertainment and great food and view the downtown window museum. Visit our Grand Victorian House which has been featured on HGTV.

October 30th

Join us in Historic Downtown Millersburg for our 4th annual Halloween Ghost Walks, Halloween at the Victorian House Mansion, Moonlight Madness sales, carriage rides, face painting, and MORE in the downtown shopping district and Courthouse lawn!

Our very popular ghost walk tours are back, including new tales of haunts, ghouls, and hangings in the downtown. A second walk has been added, and will feature a tour of the old jailhouse basement where a tombstone and grave are rumored to be hidden, and also where numerous confirmed hangings have occurred throughout its history. Tickets are $5 per walk, and tours will begin starting at 7 p.m. and will depart every 30 minutes thereafter, with the last tour leaving at 9:30 p.m. Gypsy Sue and David Lorah will narrate, and the West Holmes Drama Club will participate to add color and surprises to the evening. Presale tickets will be available at The Hotel Millersburg or by calling 330-674-3955 beginning October 8th.

The Victorian House will be open 6:30 p.m. " 9 p.m. for a special Halloween evening, featuring self-guided tours at $5 per person. For an additional $5, visitors may attend a program presented by the Central Ohio Paranormal Research Group, who has been to the mansion twice in the last year to investigate ghost sightings and other strange phenomena. At 6:30 and 8, they will present their findings. Tickets will be limited to 35 for each program and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis that evening at the mansion.
